Your Questions and Julian's Answers
I love this the latest spray tan craze but am for ever getting into trouble with my boyfriend for staining the bathroom floor and the sheets with orange dye, what do you suggest?
Tracey, Southend
Ask your boyfriend what he'd prefer, an insipid girlfriend who blends in with your white sheets or a glowing hot chick, who turns heads with her tan. I personally prefer to spray at the gym, always an opportunity to pull while you are attempting to contort your body into streak free positions.
Whats your view on wearing hats this summer?
Sophie, Exeter
Depends on the hat! Id say if in doubt go without but if you have the confidence and the rest of the outfit to carry it off then knock yourself out be an individual.
What do you think about matching shoes with belts?
Francine, Beds
Unless you are in a dark room, and I mean pitch-black darlings, you should try to match your shoes to belts - at least loosely. But an even bigger crime, and one that I personally think the death penalty should be brought back for is tucking your shirt in and not wearing a belt. Never, ever under any circumstances even contemplate this.
I have a battered old leather jacket that I love, but my girlfriend hates me wearing - can you tell her that leather jackets are still in fashion?
Tom, Birmingham
A battered old leather jacket - darling, I think I avoided you in a nightclub last night! Why don't you donate it to Oxfam? I am sure it'll look great on the neighbourhood tramp. Jackets should be LIGHT - especially with the summer coming. Linen is a fab material that helps let your skin breath.
What's the situation with socks and trainers then?
Chris, Leeds
The situation is you should take them off and drop them in the dustbin. Wear sandals or flip-flops. They are really in this summer and will help your feet breathe more and stink less. If you're worried about the state of your feet then you've been neglecting them and should book them in for a pedicure.
Is it OK to wear black in the summer?
Katie, Stockport
Wearing black in the summer is perfectly fine if you are going to a funeral. But this summer is all about colour so don't be shy. Be loud and proud. Brighter is better
