Floaty dresses, patterned skirts or cropped jeans, whatever trends women adopt this summer they can be guaranteed that there will be an average of four items from previous seasons in their wardrobe they have never worn, the report also found.
Whether its last seasons UGG Boots, combat trousers or ra ra skirt, 65 per cent of women confess to having at least one item of clothing that has never seen the light of day. A staggering 18 per cent of women have between five and ten items of unworn clothing lurking in the depths of their wardrobe.
The Morgan Stanley Credit Card found that men will be hiding only three unworn fashion faux pas from seasons gone by. The under twenties are most likely to relegate never worn items of clothing to the so last season pile, with the average teenager sitting on more than four items of things they couldnt possible wear again.
Whilst over sixties are spending the least on this summers fashions, they are not immune to fashion mistakes with 58 per cent of them harbouring unworn clothes.
