The top lake feeds all the other lakes via underground pipe which all have seperate sluice gates. This allows, when necessary, to be able to drain the lakes down independently so they can be repaired. We are also able to check our stock of fish and seperate if needed.
The swims are flat which is ideal for setting up a bivvy. The angler will have access to his/her rods without the worry of tripping over obstacles such as muddy banks etc.
Mareg lakes consist of four lakes which are constantly fed by natural spring water.
The lakes, built in a tier formation, are interlocked together and are controlled by sluice gates. We are able to drain each lake down independently when maintainence is needed to be carried out.
One of the newly created swims on the bottom lake.It allows the angler easy access to the waters edge.

Anglers can bivvy up on the flat ground and have their rods to hand without slipping on wet banks etc.
The previous owner gave us a list of fish stock and in the bottom lake there are fish around the twenty five kilo mark. Rod licences aren't required because the lakes are fenced off and we have our own water source.
The bottom lake holds the bigger carp out of the four and has six purposely built swims for the dedicated carp angler.
The lake is about five acres in size and no more than six anglers are allowed to fish it at any one time. Bait boats are allowed to be used sensibly.
