Mareg lakes are situated in France in the Auvergne region which is central. The lakes are near a little village called Bost which consists of about ten houses.

Bost is a fifteen minute drive away from a town called Cusset. Cusset has various bars, butchers, bakers, tobacco shops, petrol stations and various supermarkets for all supplies needed. There is also a big fishing shop that sells bait, tackle and fishing equipment and has a very good selection of carp gear.

The nearest city to Cusset is Vichy which is like a mini version of Paris. It has bars, clubs, restaurants, shopping centres etc. Vichy is twenty five minutes away by car from the lakes.
